Allottees of plots in National Industrial Park (NIP) Karachi would be given 18 to 24 months license for establishing industrial units. Up till now it was the general practice that allottees of the plots in industrial estates were given lease and, this is for the first time that allottees, would be given license instated of lease.

Five independent firms to be formed and registered after rehabilitation and maintenance by National Industrial Parks Development and Management Company. In a  meeting with President Pervez Musharraf, it was decided that a loan of Rs.2 billion will be allocated for this purpose.
