LAHORE: Pakistan Industrial Development Cooperation (PIDC) has decided to establish an industrial park in Sargodha, according to a statement on Monday. The project will be implemented by the National Industrial Parks, a subsidiary of PIDC, within this year, it said.

The National Industrial Parks Development and Management Company (NIPDMC) in a meeting has decided to establish an industrial park in Sargodha, which will be inaugurated during the next two weeks.

Moshin Syed, chief executive officer of NIPDMC, in a meeting said that the 100 acres land has already been acquired and other formalities are being completed, while all industrial units, to be setup in this park, would be supplied uninterrupted electricity, it said. The objective to establish industrial parks in the country is to create an environment that allows customers to grow and flourish in the global place. To achieve this mission, the NIP will create an investor-friendly climate, develop industry clusters, enhance the attractiveness of doing business in Pakistan, meet international environmental standards and create and maintain a national / international investor focus.
